TSA (Technology Student Association) went to NEO for Regionals. Students competed in various events and competitions. Students Sophie Baker, Kaden Summerlin, and Jonathan Bowman got Second Place in Project Fair and will be moving on to State. Good Job Bears!

Wyandotte Schools in Session on 2/28 Despite Previous Schedule
Wyandotte Public Schools will now be in session on Wednesday, February 28, despite originally being scheduled as a day off. The change comes as a result of recent weather-related school closures, prompting the district to adjust the calendar to ensure students meet the required instructional days.
The students interviewing for NE Tech will now be scheduled for interviews on Feb. 26th in the AM. The NE Tech bus will leave at 8 AM and return by lunch.

Jostens will be on campus on February 27, 2025, from 12:30 PM to 12:50 PM in the gym to distribute graduation announcements. This is for SENIORS only!
Wyandotte Public Schools will be moving to a virtual format for Tuesday, Feb. 18 and Wednesday, Feb. 19 due to the expected large accumulation of snow that is moving to the area. We will wait to make an announcement for Thursday and Friday until we see what this system actually produces. Students are coming home today with their homework expectations in hand to accomplish while out due to weather.

The Technology Student Association (TSA) is preparing for the regional competition at NEO, where students will showcase their skills in areas like engineering, robotics, coding, and design. Teams from local schools are finalizing projects and rehearsing presentations, eager to demonstrate their creativity and technical abilities. This event provides students with valuable experience in STEM, leadership, and teamwork. For many, it's the first step toward competing at the state and national levels. TSA regionals offer a chance for students to shine and gain recognition for their hard work and innovation. Lets wish TSA good luck at regionals February 24th!
On Friday, January 31st, Wyandotte Public Schools will have the day off in observance of a Teacher Work Day. This day is dedicated to providing educators with time for professional development, collaboration, and lesson planning to further support student success. While students are enjoying a break, teachers will focus on refining instructional strategies, analyzing student progress, and preparing for upcoming lessons.
Gifted and talented
The students, all part of a gifted and talented program, had been tasked with coming up with an innovative way to rescue Fred using only a few everyday objects: paper clips, a cup, and a life preserver. It wasn’t just about coming up with any solution; it was about working together, thinking critically.
MEOBDA Results
On January 20th, 2025, Wyandotte's band participated in the MEOBDA auditions, where they competed for a spot to join an ensemble. Despite their strong performance, none of the band members were selected. Even though no one was selected, the experience provided valuable exposure and insight for future opportunities.
ACT Boot Camp at NEO A&M College
Prepare for success on the ACT by attending the ACT Boot Camp at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College! This workshop is a valuable opportunity for high school students to sharpen their skills and boost their test-taking confidence.
