Wyandotte Public Schools is accepting applications for District Encumbrance Clerk. This position is primarily responsible for processing purchase orders and subsequent payments for the General Fund, Building Fund, Child Nutrition Fund, Bond Funds, and Activity Fund, in accordance with state law and school district policy. Successful candidates will have excellent customer service and communication skills as they are expected to work in conjunction with all sites and all employees in an effective and polite manner. In addition, a willingness and ability to change processes as new technology becomes available. Encumbrance Clerks in Oklahoma are required to complete continuing education credits as required by OSDE. A high school diploma is required, a college degree is a plus. Previous experience in an accounting environment and school district setting is preferred. Knowledge of SylogistEd accounting software and the Oklahoma Cost Accounting System is also preferred. Wyandotte School District is seeking enthusiastic and student-centered individuals to fill full-time elementary Paraprofessional positions. As a Paraprofessional, you will help teachers support students. A successful candidate must be able to work with students and staff to provide academic, social, and behavioral support.
An individual who holds this position must:
Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law
Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as requested by the administration
Help supervise the arrival and departure of students to which he or she is assigned.
Follow instructions from teachers and administrators
Data collection as required by teachers and administrators
Lead small group remediation as directed
Education Requirements for Paraprofessionals:
Have a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) diploma
PLUS
Option A: Hold an associate’s degree (or higher)
OR
Option B: Completed at least two years (48 credit hours) of study at an institution of higher education
OR
Option C: Passed the Oklahoma General Education (OGET) Test.
OR
Option D: Passed the Praxis ParaPro Assessment Test – Passing score is 455.
