Wyandotte School District is seeking enthusiastic and student-centered individuals to fill full-time elementary Paraprofessional positions.  As a Paraprofessional, you will help teachers support students. A successful candidate must be able to work with students and staff to provide academic, social, and behavioral support.

An individual who holds this position must:

  • Maintain confidentiality of information about children and their families in accordance with Board policy and law

  • Participate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings, and special events as requested by the administration

  • Help supervise the arrival and departure of students to which he or she is assigned.

  • Follow instructions from teachers and administrators

  • Data collection as required by teachers and administrators

  • Lead small group remediation as directed

Education Requirements for Paraprofessionals:

Have a high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) diploma

PLUS

Option A: Hold an associate’s degree (or higher)

OR

Option B: Completed at least two years (48 credit hours) of study at an institution of higher education

OR

Option C: Passed the Oklahoma General Education (OGET) Test. 

OR

Option D: Passed the Praxis ParaPro Assessment Test – Passing score is 455.
