Recently, a group of about 20 students took the opportunity to work both days of a weekend to donate their time raising funds for their summer baseball team and also for Wyandotte athletics. These students served as bird technicians at a two-day competition at the Green Country Retriever Club while Wyandotte dads grilled and sold concessions. These students worked from 6:30 am until approximately 5:00 pm both days. For their donated time and efforts, the students not only were successful in raising money to cover tournament fees for three baseball tournaments this summer, but they also raised an additional $1,100 to donate to Wyandotte athletics.
Above all, we can be proud that the event organizers and dog handlers were both complementary and impressed with the efforts of these students. Thanks for all your hard work and donated time.
