On November 12, students participated in the Career Tech Reality Check, a simulation designed to mimic post-high school life. Each student received a scenario that included their salary, marital status, number of children, spouse’s salary, and a monthly budget. They had to navigate real-life expenses like housing, transportation, and insurance while managing their finances. If funds ran low, they could opt for a second job or draw a chance card. The experience gave students valuable insights into the financial decisions adults face, helping them grasp everyday life better.
