🎉🎻 Shoutout to Our Wyandotte Sixth Grade Student, Carolina Land! 🎻🎉
We’re so proud to announce that our very own, Carolina has been crowned the Oklahoma State Champion for Youth Fiddling! 🌟🏆 Her journey is truly inspiring, and we want to share it with all of you!
How it all started Carolina discovered her love for fiddling by listening to a band that her parents enjoyed. When they asked if she wanted to give it a try, she jumped at the chance, and the rest is history. Carolina's musical Influence is her grandpa! His passion for music has fueled Carolina’s journey and shaped her love for the fiddle leading her to compete in the state championship even though Carolina admitted she was nervous at first, she soon found her rhythm and enjoyed the experience. She performed Rutland’s Reel, a piece she chose for its lively spirit and beautiful sound on the fiddle. From competing, she learned the importance of keeping tempo and staying focused, even if things get tricky. Carolina’s advice to young fiddlers is simple: “Just go for it!” Embrace the challenge and have fun! Looking ahead, Carolina aims to improve her skills and tackle more complex pieces. We can’t wait to see where her journey takes her!
Fun Fact: If she could jam with any famous musician, it would be Jimmy Urine! 🎤
Join us in congratulating Carolina on this amazing achievement! Keep shining and inspiring us all! ✨👏
