Two Girls' Tulips Donation

Micah and Jade Robertson, along with their two elementary age girls, Journey and Alivia, decided they wanted to make a donation to the Wyandotte Baseball Program by taking a starter of a new and little known kind of Tulip called a "Zebra Collection" and planting them around the flagpole in the baseball complex outfield. The "Zebra Collection" is a grouping of black and white Tulips that will go well with school colors and highlight the already picturesque WHS baseball facility. In year one, there will be a bloom of 60-80 Tulips in black and white. When the second bloom takes place, each of those 60-80 will multiply by four giving us somewhere in the neighborhood of 240-320 Tulips around the flagpole. This trend will continue unless bulbs are taken and replanted and reorganized in subsequent years. Needless to say, there will be an area of left field that will be worth visiting to get a closer look!

On November 6th, those bulbs were planted by Micah, Journey, and Alivia in anticipation of a March bloom. Now, we wait to see how that turns out!
