Our FCCLA hosts several blood drives every year. I spoke with Jeanie Siegrist, our FCCLA director and she stated “our community is currently experiencing a blood shortage in our local hospitals. It is our job to get involved and to help our community in any way we can. With this money, we are able to receive a scholarship to give to one of our graduating seniors. Our school tries to have 2-3 blood drives per school year through Oklahoma Blood Institute. Thanks to FCCLA, we can insure on having an annual blood drive every year through OBI.”
